MGL-2500 (Diesel Free) is a proprietary blend of surface active agents in a BTEX Free carrier fluid. The product is effective at high temperatures and pressures, providing up to 95% reduction in in torque. It is fully dispersible in brine and typical application concentrations are 1% - 3%.
Product Application
MGL-2500 (Diesel Free) is a pipe-on-pipe lubricant applied at concentrations of 1% - 3%. This results in up to 95% reduction in torque. The product is useful in drilling applications as well as in coiled tubing operations to reduce pipe-on-pipe friction.
Advantages
MGL-2500 (Diesel Free), is a BTEX free additive used to reduce torque and drag in oil and water based drilling fluids. Torque is the rotary friction between the drilling bit and the wellbore. Drag is the friction force between the bit and pipe as it moves into the wellbore. Some of the benefits realized are:
